My wife, myself and a problem so pressing that it feels like there\u2019s a third person in our bed (a snorer too!)<\/div>\n
3 h 32: and another one\u200a! My little boy\u2019s been driven from his bed by a nightmare and he\u2019s come to seek political asylum\u200a!<\/div>\n
3h46: it\u2019s no longer a bed, more like a giant taco\u200a!<\/div>\n
I\u2019ve had enough! I\u2019m going to pray in the woods…<\/div>\n
\n

It\u2019s cold outside, but I know I\u2019ll warm up as I walk\u200a!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The master of the road<\/strong><\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 The streets are completely deserted (am I the only one with problems in this country?). Strolling down the middle of the main road with not a car in sight, it\u2019s a bit of a cake-walk\u200a!<\/div>\n
\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Oh! The road\u200a! You see, I\u2019m not afraid of you (in fact, I\u2019m walking all over you…) !<\/div>\n

Whoa, have I entered a parallel universe or something?\u200a!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

At the gates of the Kingdom<\/strong><\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 On the edge of the shadow-filled forest, tall trees clothed in the strange light of the moon seem to return my look. These giants contemplate me scornfully from on high, looking at the little man at their feet in a monk-like silence. Who dares disturb their sleep? It\u2019s like I\u2019m walking past the ranks of the Lord\u2019s army, stood to attention:\u00a0 frightening, powerful, imperturbable and\u2026ever so slightly curious angels.<\/div>\n
Not a sound is heard except my footsteps signalling my intrusion in this world. Even the birds have flown away to the country of dreams.<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 I plunge into the thick shadows of this dense forest. It\u2019s truly awe-inspiring, all of the usual sights and sounds have gone (well, they haven\u2019t really gone, they still exist, if you know what I mean)…<\/div>\n
It feels as if I\u2019m going to be totally swallowed up in absolute darkness, but I can always make out enough to be able to take my next step (this happens so often in my life\u200a!). The really amazing thing is that I\u2019m no longer scared (meaning that I must have matured)…<\/div>\n
Just above my head: Wooooooow\u200a! This universe that Dad\u2019s created is mind-blowing (no, I haven\u2019t lost my head, Jesus tells us we can call Him that)\u2026<\/div>\n
God is so much bigger than any worries we may have\u200a! I want to turn my gaze to Him\u200a!<\/div>\n
The quietness of my voice when I talk with him touches me very deeply (it\u2019s a very personal thing)…<\/div>\n
I no longer feel cold.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 In the distance, I see the studio where I write my comics. It could be mistaken for an old, rather tired-looking naval vessel… But at least it\u2019s there\u200a!<\/div>\n
As I stand before my bed, I realize that it\u2019s no giant taco that\u2019s in my bed, but the human beings that I love the most in this world\u200a! Even the \u2018problem\u2019 seems almost benevolent (yes, it hasn\u2019t gone away)… because after all, it was that which encouraged me to pray.<\/div>\n

Jesus gave me His most precious gift tonight. Something that\u2019s worth much more than just granting my prayer\u2026.<\/div>\n
a moment in His presence, a foretaste of eternity\u200a!<\/div>\n
