The greenery of almost translucent leaves, filtering the thousand different shades of the sun
created a magical atmosphere, a play of shadows and light upon the forest path that I took;
The gentle rustling of the wind accompanies me in my discussions with God;
The unmistakable odor of the wild ferns
clustered around the majestic, slender figures of age-old moss-covered trees,
gnarled as wise men of old.
All are now gone -
their corpses strewn haphazardly upon the ground.
A whole part of the forest has been razed,
my secret little path along which I loved to walk with God has been stripped bare...
the powerful scent of cut wood, normally so pleasant, sticks in my throat.
No more prayer
This sorry spectacle, this carnage, unexpectedly brings back certain memories,
reopening old heart wounds,
it’s as if the ground has been cut from under me (that’s funny, I don’t think I’m the only one in that situation here…)
I want to express all this to my God,
but emotion has gripped me by the throat, choking me, my words are unable to escape, unable to reach Him,
I can’t speak.
A picture worth a thousand words
At this moment, I remembered the drawing that I did yesterday:
Jesus tenderly gathering his sheep in His arms.
- "Lord, I... that’s what I wanted to pray!
I’d like to be like those sheep.
Instinctively, I open my Bible to follow on from where I'd been reading
 (not that I was the only one talking here)
and here are the exact words I read:
"He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart..."
(Isaiah 40, verse 11)
His response is so immediate, so fitting, it touches me deeply, all I can do is say...wow!
What a source of comfort I have in Jesus!
yet so few people are aware of it...
however, I won’t forget them -
The forest is a large one and I plunge into it with Him
in search of new paths, new wonders.
When I get out,
both of us will be ready to face this savage world.

Hi together

It has been some time that I haven’t written to you. But I am always in the middle of something….

And I can give you some BIG NEWS.
The book « Rendez-vous dans la forêt » that was only available in French, and that has been of great use for a lot of people,  as it has helped them to find our Lord… this book is now entirely translated into English with the title « Date in the forest ».
This translation work has taken its time as it has been made by volunteers. By the way, I would like to thank the two main translators Stephen Kells (www.anglophrase.com) and Nicky Seadon.
We have printed some copies in form of the final book in order to prospect publishers.
We have done so in Nashville not long ago. A lot of US publishers showed their interest in this book and, even if nothing has been settled yet, the project seems to take form.
My book is not yet available in English. But we hope it will be so soon. Thank you for your prayers in this regard.
It is just the testimony of a simple man, living his friendship with God in his daily life.
