Where’s that bottle?

  I’m at the supermarket, stuck, as if disabled, between tinned foods and Asian condiments. I’m desperately looking for a very particular wee green bottle: wasabi! No matter how painstakingly my searching eyes have scanned the shelves in front of me, centimetre by centimetre, enough to wear them out, it’s no use: I can’t see it! I am in the right section, though: it ought to be there!!

Some shop-worker must have deliberately hidden it, for some dark, unmentionable reasons. 

Alright, then, plan B!

I now look for a sales person (not sure if this is going to be any easier!)... I catch one, crouched down, excavating the shampoo section, with his right arm buried in the unexpected depths of a shelf. When I ask him if he’s the joker who’s hidden the wasabi, he gets up and, head down, charges towards ‘my’ section. With no effort at all, he stretches out his hand and extracts from it the little bottle of wasabi!

Looking like an idiot!

  Momentarily letting drop the impassive self-restraint of the salesperson, a faint smirk forms on his face. The small sneer is perceptible enough to make him slightly roll his eyes... Thinking I was about to be awarded a medal, as a righter of wrongs, for noting the disappearance of the prized product, there I was, left looking like a complete jerk.

The packaging

  If I didn’t see it, there’s a good reason why: the item is now adorned with new packaging, which it didn’t have before! And my memory had an exact mental image of that bottle which did not correspond to the reality. In the end, it’s not the appearance of this darn bottle (oh yes, it is very appealing, blah blah blah) that interests me... but much more the taste of what it contains, OK?! 

Haven’t you seen God?!

  You have honestly asked God to show you that He exists, asked Him for - you know - a sign!... 

Well, I’m pretty sure that He’s done it: think of my story about the wasabi... you need to accept that He’s different from what you imagine (even if your idea of the divine is very appealing)!

And if you have prayed for some thingummyjig... but there’s been nowt... 

Hmmmm... Wasabi, man, WASABI ! !"

Oukélé la bouteille ?

  Je suis au supermarché, coincé comme un autiste entre les boîtes de conserve et les condiments asiatiques. Je cherche désespérément une « pitite » bouteille verte bien particulière : du wasabi ! ‪Mes yeux scrutateurs ont beau scanner minutieusement l'étagère en face de moi centimètre par centimètre, à s'en user le regard, rien n'y fait : je ne la vois pas ! Je suis pourtant au bon rayon, elle devrait être là !!

Sûrement qu'un magasinier l'a caché exprès, pour de sombres raisons inavouables…

Bon, plan B !

  Je cherche maintenant un vendeur (pas sûr que ce soit plus facile!)... J'en surprends un, recroquevillé en train de "creuser" le rayon shampoings, le bras droit enfoncé dans les profondeurs insoupçonnées d'une étagère. Quand je lui demande si c'est lui le plaisantin qui a caché le wasabi, il se lève et fonce tête baissée sur "mon" rayon. Sans effort, il tend sa main et en extrait la petite bouteille de wasabi !

L'air fin !

  Trahissant la maîtrise de soi du vendeur impassible, un petit sourire en coin se dessine sur sa face. Le rictus est suffisamment perceptible pour provoquer un léger roulement de ses yeux... Moi qui pensais recevoir une médaille de justicier pour avoir constaté la disparition du précieux produit, me voilà bien l'air con(fondu).

L’emballage

  Si je ne l'ai pas vu, c'est qu'il y a une bonne raison : l'article se pare maintenant d'un emballage nouveau qu'il n'avait pas avant ! Et ma mémoire avait une image mentale précise de cette bouteille qui ne correspondait pas à la réalité.

Au final, ce n'est pas la forme de cette fichue bouteille (oh oui, elle est jolie et blablabla...) qui m'intéresse... mais bien de goûter le produit qu'elle contient, non ?!

T'as pas vu Dieu ?!

  Tu as sincèrement demandé à Dieu de te montrer qu'Il existe, un signe, quoi !...

Alors je suis quasi sûr qu'il l'a fait : pense a mon histoire de wasabi... il faut accepter qu'il soit autre que ce que tu imagines (même si ta conception du divin est très jolie) !

Et si tu as prié pour recevoir un truc-machin-chouette... mais qu'il n'y a eu que dalle...

Woissidenn, diese Flasche?
  Ich befinde mich im Supermarkt und klemme gerade zwischen den asiatischen Konserven und Gewürzen fest. Ich suche verzweifelt nach einer bestimmten „kleenen“, grünen Flasche: Wasabi! Mein prüfender Blick kann noch so sorgfältig Zentimeter für Zentimeter das Regal vor mir durchscannen bis meine Augen schlapp machen, es nützt nichts:
Ich sehe sie nicht! Ich befinde mich aber vor dem richtigen Regal, sie müsste da sein!!
Ein Lagerist hat sie bestimmt aus irgendwelchen geheimen, unverschämten Gründen extra versteckt... 


Okay, Plan B!
  Ich suche jetzt nach einem Verkäufer (das wird nicht unbedingt viel leichter sein, den zu finden!)… Und ich erwische tatsächlich einen, der dabei ist, in sich zusammen gekrümmt, das Shampoo-Regal durchzugraben. Sein rechter Arm versinkt in den ungeahnten Tiefen eines Regalfachs. Als ich ihn frage, ob er den Witzbold kennt, der das Wasabi versteckt hat, steht er auf und rast mit gesenktem Haupt auf mein Regal zu. Mühelos hebt er die Hand und entnimmt dem Regal die kleine Wasabiflasche!
Jetzt gebe ich eine echt tolle Figur ab!
Ein kleines Lächeln im Gesicht straft die sonst wirksame Selbstbeherrschung des gefühlsarmen Verkäufers Lügen. Sein verzogener Mund ist genügend wahrnehmbar, um ein leichtes Augenverdrehen hervorzurufen... Und ich dachte, ich würde die Rächermedaille erhalten, weil ich den Schwund dieser wertvollen Ware bemerkt hatte... Jetzt fühle ich mich ziemlich dumm(iniert).


Die Verpackung
  Es gibt Gründe dafür, dass ich die Flasche nicht bemerkt habe: Sie putzt sich mittlerweile mit einer neuen Verpackung heraus, die sie vorher nicht hatte. Mein Gedächtnis hatte ein genaues gedankliches Bild von dieser Flasche, das der Wirklichkeit nicht entspricht.
Was mich interessiert, ist nicht die Form dieser blöden Flasche (achja, sie ist wirklich hübsch und blablabla), sondern das, was sie intus hat. Ihren Inhalt möchte ich kosten!


Hast du Gott nicht gesehen?
  Du hast Gott ernsthaft darum gebeten, dass Er sich zeigt, dass er dir halt ein Zeichen gibt!
Und ich bin mir sicher, dass Er es getan hat. Denke dabei an meine Wasbigeschichte! Wir müssen akzeptieren, dass Er anders ist als das, was du dir unter seinem Bild vorstellst (auch wenn deine Vorstellung von dem, was göttlich ist, womöglich sehr schön ist)!
Und wenn du dafür gebetet hast, dass du ein tolles Dingsbums bekommst und du hast gar nichts gekriegt… Mmmmmh... Wasabi, man, WASABI!!

¿Dónde está la botella?
 Estoy en el supermercado, atrapado como un autista entre latas y condimentos asiáticos. Busco desesperadamente una “pequeña” botella verde muy especial: ¡wasabi! Mis escrutinios ojos han escaneado cuidadosamente el estante que está delante de mí, centímetro por centímetro hasta desgastar la mirada, pero nada que hacer: ¡no la veo! Y por lo tanto sigo en la sección correcta, ¡¡debería estar allí!! Sin duda un tendero la escondió a propósito, por razones oscuras indescriptible... 

¡Muy bien, Plan B!

 Busco ahora a un vendedor (¡no estoy seguro de que esto sea más fácil!) … Pillo a uno, acurrucado «excavando» la sección de champús, el brazo derecho metido en las profundidades insospechadas de un estante. Cuando le pregunto si él es el bromista que escondió el wasabi, se levanta y se apresura con la cabeza agachada a "mi" sección. ¡Sin esfuerzo, tiende su mano y extrae la pequeña botella de wasabi!
¡Quedar como un tonto!
 Traicionando el autodominio del vendedor impasible, una pequeña sonrisa se dibuja a un lado de su rostro. La sonrisita es lo suficientemente perceptible como para causar una leve rotación de sus ojos... Yo, que pensaba recibir una medalla de justiciero por haber notado la desaparición del preciado producto, estoy aquí, sintiéndome estúpido.

El envase

 Si no lo vi es porque hay una buena razón: ¡el artículo ahora tiene un nuevo envase que no tenía antes! Y mi memoria tenía una imagen mental precisa de esa botella que no correspondía con la realidad.

Al final, no es la forma de esta maldita botella (Oh sí, es bonita y blablabla...) que me interesa... sino de saborear el producto que contiene, ¡¿no?! 
¡¿No viste a Dios?!
  ¡Le pediste sinceramente a Dios que te muestre que Él existe ¡ O sea, una señal !...

 Entonces estoy casi seguro de que lo hizo: Piensa en mi historia de wasabi... tienes que aceptar que Él es distinto de lo que te imaginas ¡(incluso si tu concepción de lo divino es muy bonita)!

 Y si has orado para recibir una cualquier cosa... pero no hubo nada..

FR2 the comeback
There seems to be changes in religious broadcasting on FR2 (a French TV channel): 
They hired young filmmakers to renew the style. Quite naturally, a new team showed up at the Auderset workshop in order to get a new perspective on my forest!  
 
No matter how hard I tried to tell them that the conditions couldn't be worse to get nice shots that look good on a screen – 'coz visually speaking it was the time of the year when the trees are most ugly: no more leaves and no snow yet! – it didn't stop them. One of them even told me: "We rely on God!". 
?!… Wow, unusual kind of answer in that social environment… (unless it was a joke… !?)
 
A localized climatic miracle!
The crazy thing happened, as soon as they arrived: a snowstorm occurred!!! 
In record time, snow wrapped the forest in a beautiful white coat! 
The whole team witnessed it. The outcome was outstanding pictures!!! 
During the shooting, I insisted on the fact that we were to go in the forest not only to speak to God but to listen to Him all the more. 
As soon as they were done shooting, the snow melted! 
 
They were three, and two of them wrote to me that it had real struck them and that, since the shooting, they had been going in the forest to seek God, too. One of them even told me that he went there every day, since.
It's my prayer that, after the broadcast of this program, there will be thousands of them!!!

Mauvais moment
On dirait qu’il y a un truc qui bouge au niveau des médias. Les émissions protestante de FR2 ont engagé de jeunes cinéastes pour renouveler le genre.
C’est tout naturellement qu’ils se sont pointée à l’Atelier Auderset pour avoir un nouvel éclairage sur ma forêt !
J’ai eu beau leur expliquer qu’ils ne peuvent pas plus mal tomber – car visuellement, sur toute l’année, c’est maintenant que les arbres sont le plus moche : y a plus de feuilles ni de neige ! –, ça ne les a pas démonté plus que ça. L’un d’eux m’a même répondu : « On compte sur Dieu !».
?!…Wow, ce genre de réponse n’est vraiment pas habituel pour ce milieu… (à moins que ce soit un gag…!?)
 
Miracle climatique local !
Et le truc de ouf : dès leur arrivée, il y a eu une tempête de neige !!!
En un temps record, la forêt s’est recouverte d’un magnifique manteau blanc ! Toute l’équipe en a été témoin. Résultat : les images sont exceptionnelles !!!
Sur cette émission, j’ai insisté sur le fait qu’il faut aller en forêt, non seulement pour parler à Dieu, mais bien plus pour l’écouter ! Nous avons tous été touchés par cette intervention.
Dès qu’ils ont fini de filmer, la neige a fondu !
 
Ils étaient trois, et deux d’entre eux m’ont écrit que ce temps les a grave marqué, et que depuis le tournage, eux aussi vont dans la forêt pour y chercher Dieu. L’un d’eux m’a même dit qu’il y va quotidiennement depuis.
Je prie pour que suite à la diffusion de cette émission : ils soient des milliers !!!
