Les indécrottables questions de Willy Grunch «Sex, God and Rock’n’roll»

 

Disons le franchement, cet attachant petit personnage, philosophe aux cent questions existentielles, est plutôt «ballot»: il comprend tout de travers, mettant nos illogismes et autres imperfections en lumière, de façon déconcertante, et nous plongeant tour à tour dans l’hilarité ou la perplexité la plus totale!

La guitare en bandoulière, une grave surdose d’immaturité et un cœur de poète rempli d’idéalisme, c’est là tout le bagage de Willy Grunch. Mais, de gag en gag, le personnage évolue et quand il rencontre Jasmine, il est victime d’un coup de foudre retentissant. Qu’importe si la première vision qu’il eut d’elle fut celle d’une fille de ferme poussant une brouette sur un tas de fumier! Ne dit-on pas que l’amour est aveugle?

Les amourettes de Grunch et Jasmine semblent avoir évolué vers une vraie relation de couple, ce qui donne à l’auteur l’occasion d’en dépeindre les différents aspects, en particulier les malentendus et blessures qui peuvent découler d’une mauvaise communication entre les conjoints.

Un autre thème qui est mis en exergue dans cet ouvrage concerne la notion du bien et du mal, du bon et du mauvais... Une frontière qui semble chaque jour plus floue et qui offre l’illusion à nos contemporains qu’ils peuvent à coup sûr légitimer leurs choix et jugements en fonction de leurs propres critères et échelles de valeurs. Certains peuvent ainsi en toute bonne conscience appeler « bien » le mal qu’ils font et « mal » les bonnes actions d’autrui, en tordant ces notions et en réinventant une justice à leur propre mesure…
